Each June, since 1983, Sei Boku has its annual show, open to the public, with exhibits of fine trees from our members, as well as sales by members and vendors of trees, pots and other bonsai-related items. The 2-day show has demonstrations by invited artists, raffles, and “Dr. Bonsai” table for members and guests to gain advice and assistance on their trees from experienced bonsai artists.

After nearly 2 years of Zoom meetings due to the COVID pandemic, Sei Boku has returned to our monthly in-person meeting format. At these meetings we have demonstrations and lectures from existing members and invited guest artists from outside the Bay Area, as well as group workshops.

Our popular “Green Elephant” meeting in the fall allows members to have an opportunity to redistribute their trees, pots, and tools through an auction format.

Virtual Open Workshops

          4th Saturday each month

            2:00 to 4:00 pm

While we all wait to see what the pandemic means for public safety protocol, that doesn’t mean we can’t get together virtually via Zoom! In 2022 our workshops may change back to face-to-face. Stay tuned.

These virtual workshops offer us a space to gather, ask questions, get advice and just share life. The forum is open and flexible. Some of us stay on for the whole two hours, while others just drop in for a little while. It’s a great opportunity to work on your trees and catch up with your Sei Boku friends!
